Trash Dance

Choreographer Allison Orr finds beauty and grace in garbage trucks, and in the unseen men and women who pick up our trash. She rides along with Austin sanitation workers on their daily routes to observe and later convince them to perform a most unlikely spectacle. Two dozen trash collectors and their trucks deliver — for one night only — a stunningly beautiful and moving performance in front of an audience of thousands.

Received 2012 SXSW Special Jury Recognition and winner of the 2012 Full Frame and AFI Silverdocs Audience Awards.

Saving Sea Turtles: Preventing Extinction
March 21

Narrated by renowned scientist Dr. Sylvia Earle, this film tells the story of a record-breaking stranding season on Cape Cod, Massachusetts in 2014, where over 1,200 cold-stunned sea turtles washed ashore. 90 percent of these were Kemp's Ridleys, the world's most critically endangered sea turtle. This massive wildlife emergency marshaled an inspiring response within and beyond Massachusetts, that reached from individuals to the federal government, involving over 10 states and 21 institutions.

Winner of the 2018 Chesapeake Film Festival's Best Environmental Feature Award and the 2017 American Environmental Film Festival's Green Spark Award.
